LG consolidates position in LCD monitor segment with launch of 'Emotional' range

The 'Emotional' series was conceived with the concept of creating a premium design series, setting an example for LG's next-generation monitors.
Building on its leading position in the international LCD monitor industry, LG Electronics today unveiled its new range of LCD monitors.

The aptly titled 'Emotional' series goes one step further, presenting not only visual elegance but also emotional appeal for the user.

'Demand for LCD monitors is growing exponentially in the Middle East,' explained C. H. Lee, President of LG Electronics Gulf FZE.

'LG is the world's largest producer of LCD panels, manufacturing around 10 million LCD panel units annually and we aim to reach the global top spot in the LCD TV and monitor segment by 2008.'

The 'Emotional' series was conceived with the concept of creating a premium design series, setting an example for LG's next-generation monitors. The new range aims to provide a calming experience through 'Feng Shui' of flat-screen LCD monitor design.

The monitors are stylish as well as functional. At just 18mm thick, these LCD monitors boost an impressive 1600:1 contrast ratio, lightning-fast response time of 4 milliseconds and 'F-engine' technology for crisp picture quality.

LG's LCD monitors have continuously gained well-deserved brand recognition through the premium designs of the LX40 series. The 'Emotional' series offers three types of stands with luxurious glossy colour finish in black or white, enabling users to choose their style of desire.

'The effort and craftsmanship committed make the 'Emotional' series a masterpiece worthy of possession,' said C. H. Lee, President LG Electronics, Gulf FZE. 'Our monitors already command a large slice of the LCD monitor market and the latest range will allow us to offer a diverse portfolio of solutions that meet every user requirement.'

Along with the 'Emotional' series, LG also launched the M4200N monitor with a built-in PC with an Intel Pentium- M 1.8 GHz CPU, 256 MB memory and an 80 GB Hard Disk Drive (HDD).

The monitor is also equipped with a wireless LAN card, and is coated with an anti-glare panel and offers up to 50,000 hours of viewing time. LG's LCD monitors are thin, sleek and low in power consumption. The M4200 can be operated without any external display sources. One can play DVDs and download files from the web and external memory devices.

LG's strategy for monitors is to have the widest range across a number of screen sizes of any brand in the market. Its range gives users the chance to choose a monitor they need, depending on what exactly they want the screen to achieve.
